The main objective of this department has been to train specialists for service and industrial sectors. Students are admitted for B.Sc and M.Sc. programs in this department through a competitive national entrance exam every year. Strong teaching and research activities have been carried out in this department in the fields of manufacturing, supply chain management, CAD/CAM, quality management , operations research, system simulation, energy engineering and transportation systems. Master programs in this department are in the following fields: Socioeconomic Engineering, MBA. At the present time, the Industrial Engineering Department has 15 full time faculty members including 6 Associate Professors and 9 Assistant Professors.
