Duties

Job Description of the Vice Dean for Education and Graduate Studies, College of Engineering, University of Tehran

The Vice Dean for Education and Graduate Studies of the College of Engineering is responsible for formulating educational policies, planning, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation of approved educational programs at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels across all academic disciplines within the College of Engineering.

In this capacity, the Vice Dean is responsible for the following duties:

  • Overseeing educational affairs and ensuring the proper implementation of educational regulations and bylaws across all programs, including daytime, evening, virtual, and international programs;
  • Planning and implementing measures to improve operational efficiency and develop and promote the College’s educational activities in accordance with the policies of the College of Engineering and the University;
  • Making decisions regarding the admission of guest students in accordance with the University’s policies and regulations;
  • Overseeing matters related to academically outstanding students;
  • Determining and announcing admission capacities for daytime, evening, and international programs; and
  • Convening meetings of the College’s councils for undergraduate and graduate education.
