Ranking of the College of Engineering's Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Journal in the SCImago database

According to the College of Engineering' Public Relations Office, the Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (JChPE) of the School of Chemical Engineering has, in the latest Scimago database update, been upgraded from the fourth quartile (Q4) to the third quartile (Q3) in three categories.

The Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering has been upgraded in three categories: “Chemical Engineering (Miscellaneous),” “Fluid Flow and Transfer Processes,” and “Process Chemistry and Technology.”

As a leading international journal, the Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (JChPE) has been published in English since 2011, hosting innovative articles in the fundamental and applied fields of chemical and petroleum engineering.

The international Journal of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering (JChPE) welcomes Original Research articles, aiming to present the latest scientific developments and provide a forum for discussion and exchange of views on engineering advancements. The journal covers a wide range of specialized topics, the most important of which include fluid mechanics and transport phenomena; separation processes; petroleum and reservoir engineering; process systems engineering; materials, surfaces, and electrochemical technologies; thermodynamics; biochemical products and food engineering; energy and environmental engineering; and emerging technologies, including nanotechnology.

The journal was previously published annually in Persian, but with the aim of enhancing its international standing and attracting a global audience, its publication has been changed to semiannual in English since 2011. This transformation has established JChPE as a reputable scientific reference for presenting engineering innovations worldwide.
