Development of a Specialized Bioink Based on Naturally Occurring Biomaterials for 3D Bioprinting

Researchers at the School of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, University of Tehran, have successfully developed a visible-light-sensitive bioink based on naturally occurring biomaterials found in the human body.

In the 2026 Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS), Mining Engineering at the University of Tehran’s College of Engineering secured a position in the 76–100 range worldwide, reinforcing its international standing. The discipline has also been designated a National Priority Field, with special support measures available for top-ranked students and Olympiad medalists.
